MAQOLA ANNOTATSIYASI

quote
Image of rich man is one of the most popular images of Uzbek folklore. This image is often observed in folklore genres as tales, legends, fairy tales, dastans, songs, proverbs and etc. Interpretation of this image in epic and lyric genres, along with some common features indicates its peculiarities as well. The interpretation of the rich man's image in literature is sometimes positive and negative at times. The characteristics of the rich man's image depend on the events taking place during the specified period of time. This image has been used in various ways and styles to describe the real time situation and to enrich the scenes of the narrated events in chronological order. According to its function several types of rich man image are created in Uzbek folklore. The term "rich man" was even used to reflect the concept of "God". Mostly, financially stable and needless person's image is depicted as an anti pode of the poor, needy people. It is well known fact that the morality of a person is not determined by his social status, i.e. by his wealth or his poverty. It is primarily affected by the moral views of the nation, family environment, and nurture given by the parents. This real life fact can be vividly described by artistic use of rich man's image. There are also written works that describe the rich man as one of the main characters. Particularly, the rich man's image described in works created in 20-40th of the XX century slightly differs from the folklore by depicting a rich man as an obscene, spoiled, womanizer, as an opposite of a hardworking poor.
