Поезд локомотивларининг рационал турини танлашда ёнилғи-энергияси сарфи асосий омиллардан бири ҳисобланади. Бунда поездларнинг тортувига сарфланадиган ёнилғи-энергия миқдорига вагонлар ва ташиладиган юклар параметрлари сезиларли даражада таъсир кўрсатади. Мақолада хусусий транспорт компанияси локомотивлари томонидан поездларнинг тортувига сарфланадиган ёнилғи-энергия ресурслари миқдорини мавжуд шароитларда ташилиши режалаштирилган юкларнинг ҳажмини инобатга олган ҳолда ҳисоблашнинг алгоритми ва дастурий мажмуалар кўринишидаги инструментал воситаси тавсия этилган. Бунинг асосида фойдаланилиши режалаштирилган поезд локомотивларининг рационал турини танлаш бўйича техник-технологик ечимлар вагон ва ташиладиган юкнинг параметрлари, ташиш масофаси, темир йўл тавсифини ҳисобга олган ҳолда ишлаб чиқилган.
