ВЛИЯНИЕ ФАКТОРОВ РИСКА НА ОБЩИЙ СЕРДЕЧНО-СОСУДИСТЫЙ РИСК У ПАЦИЕНТОВ С САХАРНЫМ ДИАБЕТОМ 2 ТИПА

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is associated with increased cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. Patients with type 2 diabetes are two to four times more likely to develop coronary heart disease (CHD), ischemic stroke, and mortality 1.5–3.6 times. T2DM is also a major risk factor for heart failure, peripheral arterial failure, and microvascular complications that affect quality of life and life expectancy. Despite advances in the treatment and prevention of cardiovascular disease (CVD), which have contributed to a significant reduction in diabetes-related coronary mortality, cardiovascular morbidity and mortality remain high in most patients with diabetes. Given the growing number of survivors of cardiovascular events and the global epidemic of type 2 diabetes, it is expected that the number of patients with type 2 diabetes with high cardiovascular risk will increase.
