ТРАНСКАТЕТЕРНАЯ ОККЛЮЗИЯ ВТОРИЧНОГО ДЕФЕКТА МЕЖПРЕДСЕРДНОЙ ПЕРЕГОРОДКИ : ИСТОРИЯ И СОВРЕМЕННОСТЬ

The history of the development of methods for correction of atrial septal defects has passed through several stages: from attempts to use closed surgical methods to the introduction of modern interventional methods of treatment. Minimally invasive methods as transcatheter closure of atrial septal defect continue to be improved, for which new types of modern devices are actively and widely adopted in cardiac surgery practice. This review is devoted to the historical aspects of the development of surgery and transcatheter occlusion of the atrial septal defect, mentions the first interventions, reflects the contribution of Western surgeons, interventional cardiologists in the treatment of this congenital heart disease. The article will be of interest to specialists of cardiovascular surgery and interventional cardiology.
