SOME MINERALOGICAL PROPERTIES OF HEAT-TREATED COPPER PRODUCTION SLAGS

The processing of slags from copper production, which is a valuable technogenic raw material, which significantly expands the raw material base of factories for the production of non-ferrous metals, is of great scientific and practical importance. The abrasiveness and hardness of the slags are responsible for the recovery of valuable components, including copper sulphide minerals, which are lost in the slags of the copper industry. To facilitate the grinding of slags from copper production, a two-stage cooling technology was proposed. This article presents the existing properties of copper minerals after two-stage cooling of copper production slags.
