ARTICLE ANNOTATION

quote
The results of a comparative evaluation of the average blood pressure (BP)in individuals with different body weights. To estimate body weight, a height-weight index (Quetelet index) was used, based on which groups with obesity and overweight (BMI) were distinguished. At the same time, abdominal obesity (AO) was also considered, which was revealed in terms of waist circumference. The frequency of occurrence of arterial hypertension (AH) in obesity and BMI detected by the Quetelet index (IC), as well as in AO, was analyzed. At the same time, the frequency of hypertension under different criteria for assessing blood pressure is considered. It is shown that blood pressure levels among individuals with varying categories of increased body weight do not have significant differences. However, differences were found in the frequency of hypertension among people with high body weight when using different methods for assessing blood PRESSURE.
