THE ROLE OF KA’B IBN ZUHAYR’S QASIDAS DURING THE JAHILIYYAH AND ISLAMIC ERAS

This article discusses the life and work of Ka’b ibn Zuhayr ibn Abi Sulayma, focusing on the historical significance of his poem «Bant Suad.» The poem is created in a high and perfect artistic form, expressing noble feelings and correct ideas, becoming an eternal and flawless work in terms of meaning, issues, and form. Additionally, the article highlights the difference between the poems Ka’b ibn Zuhayr wrote during the Jahiliyyah and the Islamic period, shedding light on his ancestors, the “Lamiyya” poem, and Ka’b ibn Zuhayr, who is known as the «Poet of Two Eras.»
