There is an increase in life expectancy after surgical treatment in patients with renal cell carcinoma (RCC), with the extension of tumor along the inferior vena cava (IVC) up to the right atrium. Depending on the extension of the tumor process, various surgical methods are offered for the treatment in this category of patients. We have presented the clinical experience of choosing an operational strategy depending on the degree of extension of a tumor thrombus.
