The introductory part of this article provides literature data on the chemical composition of licorice, which is a medicinal plant, on drugs obtained from it, as well as on a number of glycyrrhizic acid derivatives obtained by Russian scientists and authors, on the biological properties of the compounds obtained. The main part of the article discusses the results of studying the structure and biological activity of supramolecular complexes of monoammonium salt of glycyrrhizic acid with urea using UV-IR spectra, the image of the spectrum, and the probable chemical formula of the structure of the complex are presented. Based on spectral data, it was concluded that amino and hydroxyl groups of the components are involved in complexation. A classification of the resulting complex compound according to the Commodity Nomenclature of Foreign Economic Activity (CN FEA) and the corresponding product code for it are proposed.
