The flammability of physically modified natural fibers is reduced during processing of cellulose-containing materials with vermiculite-based antipyrene suspension and orthophosphoric acid the flammability of physically modified natural fibers is reduced. Influences of glycerin amount on physical and chemical indicators of aqueous solutions of antipyrene suspension based on vermiculite and orthophosphoric acid were studied. Quantitative indicators of glycerin in the suspension on the viscosity of the solution, the value of surface tension and electrical conductivity of the solution, as well as the effect of the treatment process on the impregnation of cellulose fibers with fire retardant suspensions have been researched. The optimal composition has been developed by investigating the physicochemical and colloidal properties of the flame-retardant suspension on the basis of verimulite dissolved with orthophosphoric acid, neutralized by alkali dilution with water, and added trehatomic alcohol as a plasticizer. The flammability of modified cellulose materials was studied by the method of "fire pipe" and the rate of ignition was determined. It was shown that the fire-retardant suspension has a higher flame-retardant effect, contributing to the transfer of the combustible material to the group of difficult to burn. Charringing, inherent to any organic substance, is limited to the area of action of the flame. The smoke-forming ability of vermiculite and phosphorus-based flame-retardant suspensions for impregnation of textile materials has been researched.
