Abstract: The oil and gas industry in the economy of any country that extracts hydrocarbon raw materials is the basis of the economy, which determines its state as a whole. In Uzbekistan, in addition to ensuring fuel independence, despite the fact that only slightly more than 1% of the employed population of the country works in it, it is one of the main sources of the formation of GDP, budget revenues and foreign exchange earnings, exports, the volume of industrial products and investments in the main capital. The Republic of Uzbekistan possesses natural gas reserves, oil and gas processing facilities, as well as an extensive gas transmission network. The article discusses the main methods of desulfurization by liquid scavengers, including physical, chemical and physicochemical methods of absorption, also considers sorbents that are used in each principle of the absorption method, including monoethanolamine, diethanolamine, triethanolamine, methyldiethanolamine, diisopropanolamine and diglycolamine their advantage and disadvantages, comparison of absorption methods, selection of desulfurization technology, gas-sulfur treatment plant for purification of sour gas from the Uchkyr field from hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide by the absorption method. The material and heat balance of the process is the basis for the the design of the facilities for hydrocarbon preparation and processing. The design method for the absorbtion tower material balance is proposed.  We calculate the composition of the processed gas based on the initial composition of gas, dried and separated from condensate.  According to the above-mentioned methodology, the material balance of the absorbtion tower has been  designed for the Uchkyr  SOU reconstruction.
