The article presents the impact of cultivation of biomeliorant crops after winter wheat on ameliorative condition of lands in conditions of water shortage. After fall wheat, the chlorine content in the field was 0,032-0,29 %, 0,030-0,026 % in millet, and the amount of chlorine in the uncultivated control field was 0,043-0,045 %. Biomeliorant crops yield 24,3-27,3 t/ha of grain and 35,0-54,8 t/ha of hay per hectare, which allows to save 1562-2390 m3/ha of water compared to the control field for saline washing.
