The development of quarries and underground mines is characterized by the
need to expand their boundaries and resume work on temporarily non-working sections of the
sides, as well as maintaining ore production capacity, the decrease of which is associated with
a decrease in the active area of ore bodies. At the same time, intensification of work is
required, which is complicated by the limited size of the working area. Such complications can
be largely compensated by an increase in the height of the exploding ledge.
