The article describes the legal stages of the transition to the technology of
paperless creation of cartographic and textual data based on GAT technology, and states that the
State Land Cadastre will ensure the spatial connection of data for land monitoring. A special
place in GAT technology is given to the creation of digital land cadastre maps. GAT technology
starts with faster flexibility and cartographic database creation than traditional mapping.
Existing paper-based maps will be digitized as a source of primary data. The GAT-based
cartographic data base will be continuous and not bound by a clear scale. On the basis of such a
database, an electronic map of any area can be created at any scale, with sufficient load, with the
necessary symbols. The database can be filled with new data at any time and existing data can
be changed.
