The article is devoted to the analysis of the current state of the issue of managing
multi-stage processes and trends in the development of their effectiveness. Simplify system
management of the entire system. Particular attention is paid to improving the reliability and
efficiency of production, improving the quality of all products, more efficient use of existing
capacities, the speedy implementation of the achievements of modern science and technology,
further improvement of methods and means of control, systematic study of the organizational
and functional structure of MSP, which makes it possible to identify a number of general
provisions arising from the specifics of MSP that must be observed at all stages of the
development and implementation of IACS, which determines the relevance of developing
methods for solving modeling problems and flexible control algorithms for MSP of discretecontinuous and continuous types, methods focused on the development of human-machine
control systems with mathematical models operating in interactive modes, systems that increase
the efficiency of production in general.
