The article analyzes counter-rotor hydraulic units developed on the basis of jet
turbines. A new design of a counter-rotor hydraulic unit developed by the authors, consisting of a
jet turbine with a nozzle and a water wheel, the principle of its operation and essence is described.
Based on the velocity triangle of water flowing through the reactive and active impellers, the
rotational speed of the impeller was analyzed. Accordingly, analytical relationships between the
energy parameters of the impellers are presented.
