The Republic of Uzbekistan is scattered with towns which flourished as the central towns of the
Silk Road. As we are aware that Sogdiana flourished, by Sogdian cotton and clothes of figures on
the wall paintings, Sogdiana also, thrived as the main production of textile. However, there are
many unidentified features of the technique of the area and use. There are a small number of textiles unearthed from several different sites. The Jartepa textile was found at the Zoroastrian temple
of Jartepa in 1987.
