Chach is cultural historical area Central Asiacorresponding with the modern region of Tashkent in the Republic of Uzbekistan. In the Tang historical records “後漢書”, Chach was called
Stone country “石国”and Kanka was one of the biggest cities and the their first capital. The oasis
was situated between Fergana and Sogdiana. The Silk Road connected the city with northern
Semirech'e and Samarkand (Fig. 1)
