The paper is devoted to the analysis of water resource potential of the Surkhandarya region rivers by forming a layer with large rivers of the Amu-Surkhan basin and creating a database with river identifiers, as well as information on water bodies for further export of the QGIS table. By GIS-technology instruments an electronic vector map of river basins are developed, including their inter-basin spaces in the Surkhandarya region.
