In this article we used contemporary corrosion methods such as potentiodynamic 
polarization studies and scanning electron microscopic and analysis. Results showed the 4,5-dihydroxy-4,5-bistolyl-imidazolidine-2-thione (DBIT) is mixed type of inhibitor on mild steel in 10% 
acidic medium. These results were confirmed by surface examination via scanning electron 
microscope.

С  использованием  методов  потенциодинамических  поляризационных 
исследований  и  электронной  микроскопии  изучен  процесс  коррозии  стали  в  кислых  средах. 
Показано, что 4,5-дигидрокси-4,5-бистолил-имидазолидин-2-тион (DBIT) ингибирует коррозию
мягкой стали в 10% кислой среде. Эти результаты подтверждены исследованиями поверхности 
с помощью сканирующего электронного микроскопа.
