THE LIGHT OF ISLAM

The scientific journal “The Light of Islam” of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan is included in the list of recognized publications of the Higher Attestation Commission under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the fields of History, Islamic Studies, Philosophy, and Philology.

In terms of volume, approximately eighty articles are published annually in this journal, and between fifteen and twenty-five authors may contribute their articles to each issue.

The journal “The Light of Islam” is published four times a year.

On significant dates and occasions of national or academic importance, special issues or combined issues may be published when necessary.

The journal “The Light of Islam” is registered by the National Library of Uzbekistan with the international standard serial number ISSN 2181-7308.

The journal includes sections such as Islamic Studies, Qur’anic Studies, Islamic Law, Linguistics, Topical Issues of Religious Studies, Interethnic Harmony, Philosophical Sciences and Psychology, Philological Issues, Enlightenment against Ignorance, Information Technologies, and other related sections.

In its electronic format, published on the official website of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan (iiau.uz), representatives of educational or scientific institutions, as well as experts from local and foreign organizations, may participate with their research papers.

The Rector of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan serves as the Chairman of the Editorial Board of “The Light of Islam.”

Established on the basis of a Resolution of the Academic Council of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, the Editorial Board of “The Light of Islam” is responsible for forming the journal’s content and editing submitted manuscripts. The Board is composed of scholars, specialists, and editors working within the Academy or other academic institutions, who hold academic degrees and titles.

An article submitted to the journal may be rejected for publication if one or more members of the Editorial Board raise a substantiated objection.

No royalties are paid to authors for articles published in “The Light of Islam.” Likewise, free copies of the journal are not provided to the authors.
