GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS

General Requirements

The electronic journal “Scientific Testing and Quality Control” publishes scientific articles in the fields of engineering, chemistry, physics, quality control, and standardization. Manuscripts written in Uzbek, Russian, or English are accepted for publication.

Manuscripts submitted to the journal must be original, previously unpublished, relevant, and scientifically substantiated.

The authors are responsible for the content of their manuscripts and for the opinions expressed therein. All submitted manuscripts are subject to plagiarism detection using specialized anti-plagiarism software and are published only after receiving positive recommendations from reviewers.

Requirements for Manuscript Formatting

Manuscript format – A4, portrait orientation, prepared in Microsoft Word (*.doc or *.docx) format.

Page margins – 2 cm on all sides.

Font – Times New Roman.

Font size – 14 pt for the main text; 12 pt for metadata (abstracts and keywords).

Line spacing – 1.0 for the main text.

Paragraph indentation – 1 cm.

Text alignment – justified.

Page numbering – Pages must not be numbered.

Figures, graphs, and tables – All figures, graphs, and tables must be presented in black and white.

References and in-text citations – References to materials used from the cited literature must be indicated in the body of the manuscript by the corresponding reference number and the page(s) where the cited material appears, enclosed in square brackets. For example: [1; pp. 25–26].

Manuscript length – The manuscript must be at least 5 pages and no more than 15 pages. Abstracts and keywords are not included in the specified page limit.

Requirements for the Structure of the Manuscript

1. Journal section – The relevant journal section (Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Quality Control, or Standardization) must be indicated in the upper-right corner in Times New Roman, 14 pt.
2. Author information – The author’s (or authors’) surname, first name, patronymic, affiliation (place of employment or study), academic degree, and academic title must be provided in Uzbek, Russian, and English in the upper-right corner of the page, using Times New Roman, 14 pt.
3. Article title – The title of the article must be provided in Uzbek, Russian, and English, written entirely in capital letters, in Times New Roman, 14 pt, and center-aligned.
4. Abstract – Abstracts must be provided in Uzbek, Russian, and English, using Times New Roman, 12 pt, with single line spacing. Each abstract should contain 30–50 words.
5. Keywords and key phrases – 5–10 keywords or key phrases must be provided in Uzbek, Russian, and English.
6. Main text – The manuscript should preferably be structured according to the IMRAD format, consisting of:

10. Results;
11. Conclusion.
12. References – The list of references must be arranged in alphabetical order and formatted in Times New Roman, 14 pt. Only sources actually cited and used in the manuscript should be included in the reference list.
