Author Guidelines

Submission Procedure and Requirements

The editorial board strictly requires compliance with the following rules. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be rejected without review.

Scope and Aims of the Journal

The scientific-theoretical electronic journal “Philology and Social Sciences” publishes research in the fields of philology, philosophy, history, psychology, and pedagogy.

Article Length and Format

• Article length: 8,000 – 12,000 words
• File format: .doc (Microsoft Word 97–2003)
• Font / size: Times New Roman / 14 pt
• Line spacing: 1.5
• Page margins: 2.0 cm on all sides

Figures, tables, and graphs must be submitted separately and clearly referenced in the text (e.g., Fig. 1; Table 2).

Article Structure

Title

Must be concise, clear, and informative. Provided in three languages: Uzbek, Russian, and English.

Author Information (Mandatory)

For each author, the following information must be provided:

• Full name (as in official documents)
• Affiliation (full official name of institution, city, country)
• Position
• Academic degree (PhD, Doctor of Sciences, etc.)
• ORCID (0000-0000-0000-0000)
• Email address (corresponding author *)

Main Body — IMRaD Model

The journal recommends the internationally recognized IMRaD structure:

I — Introduction

Background, literature review, research gap, aims and objectives.

M — Methods

Description of methodology, design, data sources, sampling, and ethical considerations. Use of AI tools must be disclosed.

R — Results

Presentation of objective findings without interpretation, supported by tables and figures.

D — Discussion

Interpretation of results, comparison with previous studies, significance, and limitations.

C — Conclusion

Summary of findings, achievement of research objectives, and future research directions.

References and Citations

• Style: APA 7th edition
• In-text citation: (Author, year, page)
• Reference list: alphabetical order
• DOI or URL required for electronic sources
• Self-citation should not exceed 15%

Ethical Requirements

• Manuscript must be original and unpublished
• Plagiarism must not exceed 25% (checked via iThenticate / Antiplagiat)
• Use of AI tools must be disclosed in the Methods section
• Co-author consent is mandatory
• Conflict of interest must be declared
• Ethical approval required for human subject research
