This study was conducted in the Kashkadarya region, where water supply is complex, and undertaken analytical work on the effective use of water resources and the increase of cotton yield in the region. This research studied traditional and drip irrigation types of cotton irrigation. As part of the research, field experiments were organized and conducted in-depth study of available water resources, climatic and soil conditions. Soil salinity and irrigation periods were analyzed separately and monitored using special equipments. The advantages of drip irrigation over the traditional method of cotton irrigation were observed. In summary, the possibility of higher yields with lower water consumption has been identified, and as a result, it was possible to increase productivity by 54%.
