The article examines the issues of choosing the best type of function for prediction by determining the flow of passengers on the section of public transport routes of Namangan region. Two types of functions are used for prediction, namely linear and parabolic function. Experimental calculations have shown that using the parabolic function method is optimal for forming long-term enlarged plans and determining the general trends of public transport passenger flow and development.

В статье рассматриваются вопросы выбора наилучшего типа функции для прогнозирования путем определения потока пассажиров на участке маршрутов общественного транспорта Наманганской области. Для прогнозирования используются два типа функций, а именно линейная и параболическая функция. Экспериментальные расчеты показали, что использование метода параболических функций оптимально для формирования долгосрочных укрупненных планов и определения общих тенденций пассажиропотока и развития общественного транспорта.
