This article discusses the processes of attracting the pupils of orphanages to the real social environment and choosing a social profession, preparing them for labor activities. A number of psychological characteristics that affect the personal formation and adaptation of educators to social conditions are covered in detail. The article analyzes important factors such as stress resistance, motivation, indecision, rationality and optimistic attitudes. These aspects help educators to realize their potential, successfully enter the labor market and ensure stability in their future lives. The article also includes recommendations aimed at developing the psychological and social skills of those raised in orphanages. These recommendations serve to ease the social integration of the educators and optimize the process of their preparation for the profession
