: In this article the results and analysis of experimental measurements of torque and noise on screw conveyor shafts carrying and cleaning cotton wool are presented. The torques on the screw and the leading sprocket shaft, the noise dependence on the chain drive elastic elements, the machine performance and the laws of change were obtained, the connection graphs were constructed. Based on the analysis, the optimal values of the screw parameters, the characteristics of the chain drive flexible elements were recommended.
