Taking into account the real technical condition of the locomotive equipment when planning the volume of its repair is one of the most important reserves for reducing the operating costs of railways and reducing the cost of transportation. Continuous monitoring of the technical condition of the locomotive in operation is carried out using stationary and on-board technical diagnostic tools. The article proposes a method for an integral assessment of the technical state of the quality of the working process in a diesel cylinder using on-board diagnostic tools.

Учет реального технического состояния оборудования локомотива при планировании объемов его ремонта является одним из важнейших резервов сокращения эксплуатационных расходов железных дорог и снижения
себестоимости перевозок. Непрерывный контроль технического состояния локомотива в эксплуатации осуществляется с использованием стационарных и бортовых средств технической диагностики. В статье
предлагается методика интегральной оценки технического состояния качества рабочего процесса в цилиндре дизеля с использованием бортовых средств диагностики.
