The purpose of this paper is to determine the effect of the game “I Spy” on the enhancement of students’ vocabulary. The main objective was to determine to what extent the game “I Spy” contributes to the enhancement of students’ vocabulary in primary school. The study used quasi-experimental design, nonequivalent control group design and other teaching methods. In the experimental class, students were taught vocabulary such as fruits, animals and objects by playing the game “I Spy”. After the study was conducted, pre-test and post-test were conducted to determine the result in the experimental class. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics (frequency, mean score and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (independent sample t-test). The results showed that the game “I Spy” is effective in improving students’ vocabulary. From the results of the study and its discussion, the researcher suggested that the game “I Spy” is recommended for teaching students’ vocabulary. And the researcher concluded that the game I used was an effective and interesting way to teach vocabulary
