In this article, a comprehensive systematic approach to the linguistic and cultural study of the acquired lexical units, i.e., words originating from the Arabic language, in the course of their entry, development and activity into the current Uzbek language system. Most of the words borrowed from the Arabic language are word-forming active. The studied lexical units work in all areas of use of the modern Uzbek language, including territorially and socially limited areas. The study of texts with different functional and stylistic connections reveals the use of Arabic words in all functional styles of the Uzbek language.
