The article considers an urgent problem related to the solution of the problem of monitoring and predicting the ecological state of the air basin in industrial regions, where there is an imbalance in the sanitary norms of the environment due to a large amount of emissions of harmful substances. To solve this problem, a mathematical model has been developed that describes the process under consideration using the equations of hydromechanics with the corresponding initial and boundary conditions and software for conducting a comprehensive study of the process of transfer and diffusion of pollutants emitted into the environment from production facilities.
