ARTICLE ANNOTATION

quote
This article examines the impact of climate change on agricultural pests in the Republic of Uzbekistan, with a focus on the cotton bollworm (Helicoverpa armigera) population. Based on average temperature data from 1901 to 2024, a statistical analysis was conducted, revealing an increase in the number of pest generations with rising temperatures. Forecasts for 2025–2050 suggest that, if global warming continues, the number of cotton bollworm generations could rise from 3,5 to 5,3. This trend highlights a negative impact on agriculture and underscores the need to improve plant protection measures.
