This article scientifically analyzes the occurrence of soil pests in flax (Linum usitatissimum) crops, their classification, biological and ecological characteristics, and the damage they cause to plants. It has been established that soil pests damage the root system of flax, slow down growth processes, and lead to a decrease in yield. The application of an integrated pest management (IPM) system plays a crucial role in protecting flax from pests, allowing for effective results through the combined use of agronomic, mechanical, biological, and chemical methods. The study explores the possibility of sustainably controlling pest populations through an integrated plant protection approach, which helps increase yield without harming the ecosystem.
