\This article provides information about powdery mildew disease affecting major cucurbit crops grown in Uzbe- kistan—melon, watermelon, and pumpkin—and the phytopathogenic fungi causing it (Erysiphe cichoracearum, Sphaerotheca fuliginea (Schlecht. ex Fr.) Poll.). It is noted that the disease can lead to yield losses of up to 15–30%. In field vegetation ex- periments, cucurbit crops were artificially infected to study the developmental stages of the disease. Based on this, the dynamics of disease spread and the degree of infection were assessed.
