The article reveals the importance of independent cognitive activity of medical students in the process of their professional training in the context of modern reforms of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The directions of solving this problem are indicated; the pedagogical ways of developing students' self-creative skills in practice in medical institutions through a system of tasks, orientation to the content and features of medical practice, taking into account psychological factors, and an individual approach is shown. Taking into account the rapid development of information and technical means, which is taking place in parallel with new scientific discoveries in medicine, it is natural to determine the preparation of a future medical specialist for active independent cognitive and creative activity in the constantly developing world of scientific medical research as one of the most important goals of medical education in general. For this purpose, in the educational process, conditions for self-education — the development of the skills of independent search (information, solving educational and professional problems) must be created. The article also discusses in detail the principles of selection of tasks for student activity in the form of tables. Analysis of the influence of these principles on the learning process of students also showed that incentives for the manifestation of cognitive, effective and creative activity of students are: the desire to perform this particular task; desire to learn and master new things; the difficulty of the task exceeding the level of difficulty of the previous educational tasks; support in resolving difficult moments from the teacher. These incentives contributed to the challenge of interest, activity, purposefulness of the cognition process — in this case, the development of practical healing skills, the development of new material, for which the student's volitional qualities and abilities were mobilized.
