ARTICLE ANNOTATION

quote
Abstract. Introduction: Distributed generation storage causes two-way power flow in the grid, which leads to voltage imbalance, increases load, and negatively affects the system performance. In distributed generation, it is important to apply optimal methods to accurately and quickly control the power flow. Methods and Materials. In distributed generation, when controlling the power flow, changing the direction of the power flow in the network can lead to voltage imbalance and overload. Also, uncertainty and variability: the output of renewable energy sources such as solar and wind energy is uncertain and changes over time. As a result, it becomes difficult to accurately predict and control the power flow. With the increase of distributed generation sources, the network structure becomes more complex, requiring advanced algorithms to control and optimize the power flow. Results. The application of power flow optimization methods in distributed generation provides a high level of control, creates opportunities for using a simple and inexpensive control system, managing uncertainty and variability, smoothing the source output parameters and increasing network stability. Conclusion. To solve complex problems of power flow control in networks, it is important to develop advanced control algorithms, modeling and optimization methods, as well as artificial intelligence and machine learning methods.
