ARTICLE ANNOTATION

Abstract. Introduction. Energy companies are experiencing significant changes, such as increasing energy flows, unbundling of markets, separation of production and supply, increased focus on renewable energy generation and environmental protection. Several studies show that companies are increasingly turning to digital transformation to adapt to the rapidly changing environment. At the same time, energy companies face challenges such as the high cost of network infrastructure, the presence of natural monopolies in the operating structure that limit innovation, and the need to consider the transformation process in other energy-related sectors. However, the implementation of digital transformation in energy companies is important to ensure access to resources and their reorientation to exploit new opportunities. Methods and materials. The following stages of the digital transformation process in the energy sector can be distinguished: Stage 1. Implementation of basic digital solutions. At this stage, companies implement IT technologies such as SCADA, AMR, ERP, CRM, in various objects or processes. The overall digital strategy has not yet been formed. Stage 2. Formation of a comprehensive digital infrastructure. Stage 3 - Strategic management of digital transformation. The enterprise strategy is aligned with digital goals. KPIs and digital KPIs are defined. Stage 4 - Creation of an innovative digital ecosystem. The energy company becomes an ecosystem: government agencies, the private sector, consumers, suppliers are united on a digital platform. Results. As a result of the implementation of digital transformation at energy enterprises, technical losses are reduced, illegal connections are prevented, the accuracy of settlements with consumers is further increased, and the integration of renewable sources with the network is improved. Conclusion. Digital transformation is a strategic path for modernizing the energy sector. Each stage must be carefully planned, based on technical and human capital, and aligned with infrastructure readiness.
