Cotton ranks second in terms of cultivated area among agricultural crops grown in our country. Currently, one of the urgent tasks is to reduce the area under cotton cultivation while increasihg cotton yield. Various diseases affecting cotton plants hinder the achievement of high yields. In particular, the bacterial diseases known as gummosis, caused by Xanthomonas campestris var. malvacearum damages the plant from the seeding stage until the end of the growing season. This article presents data on the effect of different temperatures on the viability of the bacteria that cause gummosis
