this article addresses the issues of the Uzbek drama in the context of the time, the attention is drawn to dramatic works created in the period of Independence. The analysis of the plays in the aspect of ideological and thematic significance of works, defined the basic directions of development of the Uzbek drama on the modern stage of development.
