ARTICLE ANNOTATION

quote
Micropropagation of fig (Ficus carica L.) is a promising method for obtaining high-quality planting material and accelerating the introduction of cultivars into culture. However, one of the challenges of this process is the release of phenolic compounds, which cause medium browning and explant death. The article discusses modern approaches to reducing phenolic browning, including the use of adsorbents (activated charcoal, polyvinylpyrrolidone), the addition of antioxidants (ascorbic acid, citric acid), and the optimization of culture media composition and cultivation conditions. The proposed solutions improve the efficiency of fig clonal propagation, enhance culture survival, and ensure stable production of disease-free planting material.
