ARTICLE ANNOTATION

quote
Diseases known as alternariosis, affecting various cultivated, wild, and weed plants, are well known to all phytopathologists and plant protection specialists. The cause of alternariosis is the infection of plants by microscopic undifferentiated fungi of the genus Alternaria. This article presents the results of our experiment studying the effect of temperature on the development of Alternaria fungi isolated from leafy vegetable crops (dill, parsley, and celery). According to the results, the optimal temperature for Alternaria species is 22–28 °C. Under these conditions, they showed the best colony formation results.
