In the conditions of the Urgut district of the Samarkand region, information is provided on the degree of harmfulness of the cotton bollworm on tobacco crops and the effectiveness of biological and chemical methods of controlling it. Over the years of research, it has been established that the cotton bollworm was very widespread and dominant, and when using Trichogramma against cotton bollworm eggs in various ratios (1:10, 1:15 and 1:20), the minimum level of infection was reduced to 18.9–21.1%, and the average yield was 27.4–25.2 c/ha. The most effective chemical control method is Indoks super 20% sus.k. It was noted that the average yield was 29.3 s/ha, and the additional yield in the variant with the use of the preparation was 15.9 s/ha.
