ARTICLE ANNOTATION

quote
The article addresses the issues of improving the active safety of motor vehicles in the Republic of Uzbekistan through the implementation of blind spot monitoring systems. The relevance of the study is justified by the persistently high rate of road traffic accidents, particularly during lane-changing maneuvers, and the driver’s limited awareness of the traffic situation in lateral and rear-lateral zones. An analysis of the regulatory framework and the specific features of vehicle operation in the republic has been carried out. The systems are classified according to sensor technologies, and a refined mathematical model of the detection zone has been developed, taking into account structural and operational factors. Quantitative efficiency assessment criteria have been formulated. Recommendations for the selection and integration of blind spot monitoring systems for various vehicle categories have been developed. The results are aimed at improving object detection reliability and reducing the risk of road traffic accidents.
