This article examines the concept of diaspora, its historical development, and the main theoretical approaches to its study. The sociological, political, cultural, and transnational dimensions of the diaspora phenomenon are analyzed through the perspectives of prominent scholars such as R. Park, W. Safran, R. Cohen, J. Clifford, G. Sheffer, K. Tölölyan, N. Glick Schiller, S. Hall, and B. Anderson. The study also highlights the role of diasporas in contemporary international relations, cultural diplomacy, and soft power strategies. The findings demonstrate that diaspora should be understood not only as a consequence of migration but also as an important transnational social institution that contributes to preserving national identity and strengthening international cultural, political, and economic ties.
