This article presents a scientific and theoretical analysis of the emergence of theatre festivals in Uzbekistan and the stages of their historical development. The study comprehensively examines the genesis of the festival tradition, tracing its evolution from the legacy of the Soviet period to the institutional transformations that occurred during the years of independence. Particular attention is paid to the role of theatre festivals in cultural exchange, international cooperation, and the promotion of national theatrical art.
