This article analyzes the theoretical and conceptual foundations of digital competencies, their content, essence, and scientific interpretations. Pedagogical and scientific approaches to the concepts of competence and digital competence are discussed, and the views of national and foreign scholars are comparatively examined. The study also reveals the structural components of digital literacy, including information and media competence, communicative competence, and technical competence. Furthermore, the importance of digital competencies in the educational process, their role in increasing the effectiveness of pedagogical activity, and their strategic significance in preparing competitive specialists who meet the requirements of modern digital society are substantiated.
