ARTICLE ANNOTATION
This article examines the pedagogical and psychological aspects of bibliotherapy and its role in promoting mental health and personal development. The study analyzes the theoretical foundations, historical evolution, principles, and practical applications of bibliotherapy as an effective method of psychological and educational support. Particular attention is given to the therapeutic potential of reading, the criteria for selecting appropriate literature, and the roles of psychologists, educators, librarians, and family members in the bibliotherapeutic process. The article also explores both individual and group forms of bibliotherapy and evaluates their effectiveness in enhancing emotional well-being, reducing psychological distress, and fostering social adaptation. The findings indicate that bibliotherapy serves as a valuable pedagogical and psychological tool that contributes to emotional resilience, self-awareness, moral development, and the overall improvement of mental health.
