The article analyzes the scientific and theoretical foundations of teaching special terminology using thematic corpora. The concept of corpus, its types, role in linguistic research, importance for lexicography and education are discussed. Development of Uzbek and world corpus linguistics, principles of corpus creation, advantages of thematic corpora in teaching special terminology are also considered.
