This article analyzes the artistic expression of Islamic and spiritual concepts in the works of Alisher Navoi, focusing on the poetic interpretation of Qur’anic verses and the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The study considers the revival of religious and moral values as an integral part of national identity, cultural consciousness, and historical continuity. While every national literature draws inspiration from spiritual and religious sources, Navoi’s poetry stands out for its unique harmony between divine revelation and artistic expression. The article explores the interrelation and distinction between religious and secular spirituality through Navoi’s poetic imagery. The research shows that although Navoi, unlike Attar or Rumi, did not primarily pursue mystical revelation, his worldview and humanistic philosophy were deeply grounded in Islamic and Sufi principles. The poet presents the image of the Prophet Muhammad not merely as a religious leader but as the supreme symbol of human perfection – Hazrat-i Insan. Through literary devices such as talmeh, ishara, tarjima, and iqtibas, Navoi integrates Qur’anic meanings and hadith symbolism into his poetry. The article also examines the concept of haqiqat-i Muhammadiyya (the Muhammadan Reality), highlighting Navoi’s view of the Prophet as the metaphysical source of all creation. By comparing the figures of Yusuf and Isa (Jesus), Navoi emphasizes Muhammad’s spiritual superiority. The study concludes that Navoi’s art transforms divine meanings into an eternal aesthetic experience, harmonizing revelation and poetry while expressing Islamic humanism at the highest artistic level in classical Uzbek literature.
