Structural composition of cotton mixed with impurities transferred to the regenerator

The article presents the results of studies conducted to determine changes in the structural composition of cotton particles in a mixture with impurities coming out of screws. In existing and improved UCC flow cotton regenerators that purify small and large impurities, as is known, the existing PX cotton regenerator works with air. One of the biggest disadvantages of this regenerator is that passive impurities such as volatile cotton entering the air are not cleaned and are added to the cleaned cotton leaving the equipment, which leads to low cleaning efficiency. To eliminate this drawback, a cotton guide was installed on the saw drum, but this did not give positive results. An improved mechanical cotton regenerator has been developed. A feed roller, a brush drum and a guide are installed on the saw drum, ensuring the movement of the cotton along the axis of the saw drum. The studies were carried out under production conditions at the Mustakillik cotton gin plant. According to the research results, a reduction in active impurities in first-grade raw materials processed in the existing cotton regenerator was achieved by 0.45%, and passive impurities by 37.7%. The improved regenerator achieved a reduction in active impurities by 1.64% and passive impurities by 41.24%. The existing PX regenerator has a passive dirt removal efficiency of 90.77%, and the recommended PX regenerator is 99.3%, while increasing the efficiency of active debris removal by 8.53%. The efficiency of purification of active impurities in the existing regenerator is 82.67%, in the improved cotton regenerator - 92.7%.
